Blind Ministry in Albania
Pastor Will Niven is a pastor in Albania who, with the support of a number of Christians and churches in Albania, has begun a ministry among the blind and partially-sighted. In cities such as Tirana, Fier, Korçë, and Ersekë groups have been established among the blind community to meet for fellowship and Bible study. The church is praying that they may be able to bring the Gospel to the blind community and that the Spirit would lead many to repentance and faith in Christ.

Gospel Camp
At a camp this summer, the gospel was preached to a group of around 100 campers, both blind and their guides or family members, and discussion groups were held after the messages from the book of Daniel. There were also many informal opportunities for the leaders to share Christ with those who attended.
Practical Help
The churches are also helping with some practical needs for this marginalized group, as it is challenging to find work, and the social security offered is very low, it is difficult to provide for their needs. Some things that have been supplied to this community include:

Food parcels – containing basic food items and cleaning supplies

Talking Watches and thermometers

Blood pressure monitors

Diabetes monitoring devices – as many in the blind community suffer from diabetes
