Victor is 15 years old; he has been visiting the 'Nazareth Daytime Center' in Ivano-Frankivsk, Ukraine since June 2017. He lives with his father and mother and a younger sister. Sadly, his family is dysfunctional, and his parents quarrel constantly. Victor's dad is like a despot in his family, even constantly pressing his son Victor to do wrong things.
Victor started to visit the Center during the Children’s Camp; one of the members of our church invited Victor there. After the first day at the camp, Victor began to tell his parents, especially his mom, about his good impressions and about the new friends he was making.
At first, Victor seemed to us to be very shy and timid. He never looked us in the eye, and sometimes he talked to himself. Therefore, his time at the Daytime Camp became decisive for Victor – will he keep coming or not, will he finds friends or not.
And until this time Victor is a participant of all the events at our Daytime Center, and in the Sunday services at church. Furthermore, after the camp his mother started to visit the church, and after some time his father began attending.
At this time, Victor is an active participant of the Daytime Center, participates in all the activities and makes crafts for his parents. We also found that he has very nice singing voice. At our most recent Christmas Concert Victor sang a Christmas hymn by himself for the first time, and it surprised his father very much.
Therefore, for all of us, it is great miracle how, through the Daytime Center, God blesses not only children, but also their parents. The relationships in Victor’s family have changed radically, and it appears God has started to change the heart of Victor’s father. Love and mutual support have appeared in the family.
Praise the Lord for His magnificent works!
