Building Up the Church in Chișinău

Rev. Mihai Chisari serves as pastor of Providence Reformed Baptist Church in Chișinău, the capital of Moldova. Alongside the regular work of preaching, shepherding and caring for the congregation, Mihai is committed to preparing more men to serve Christ’s church.

Through theological studies, church internships and intentional discipleship, he is helping equip future elders, deacons and pastors with the biblical knowledge and practical experience they need for faithful ministry. Mihai also hopes to develop a more structured theological training program that will strengthen both Providence Reformed Baptist Church and other churches in the region.

Mihai and his wife, Ireni, have two young daughters, Delia and Elisa. Recently, their family has been walking through a particularly difficult season following Ireni’s cancer diagnosis. Please remember them in prayer, asking the Lord to give them courage, strength and healing.

Providence Reformed Baptist Church is also praying for a permanent building, a place of their own where the congregation can worship, serve and grow together.

• Please pray that the Lord would provide Providence Reformed Baptist Church with a building to call home.

• Pray that he would give Ireni courage, strength and healing as she receives treatment for cancer.

• Ask the Lord to raise up qualified elders, deacons and pastors to serve the church.

• Pray for wisdom and direction as Mihai develops a more structured theological training program.

• Please also pray that the Lord would continue to strengthen Mihai as he pastors the congregation and equips future church leaders.
