“The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves the crushed in spirit.”— Psalm 34:18

Mrs. Edit is 87 years old and lives alone in a small apartment in Oradea, Romania. Her husband has passed away, and her son and grandson now live in Germany. Their visits are her greatest joy.

For many years, Mrs. Edit served as an assistant head nurse. Caring for others was not just her profession — it was her calling. Her life was marked by compassion, humility, and a deep trust in God.

Today, after suffering a stroke, she is partially paralyzed and unable to care for herself. She can speak only a few words and cannot leave her home independently. Simple daily tasks are only possible with assistance.

Since 2021, Mrs. Edit has been part of our elderly care program. But what she receives is more than help with practical needs.

Each visit is a reminder that she is not alone.

Though her speech is limited, her gratitude is clear. Her eyes light up. She receives every act of care as a sign of God’s faithfulness. Prayer strengthens her, and she rests in the assurance that the Lord is near.

Her story reminds us that even in weakness, a life rooted in faith continues to shine.

Through your support, seniors like Mrs. Edit are visited, cared for, and reminded that they are cherished by Christ and by His Church.
